It's Friday!

And my last day at work.

After today, I will be officially out of a job and out of an income.

BOOHOOHOO!!!

Anyway, I am glad, really. I need a break! I'm quite happy that I am going to have time to rest because this pregnancy is really getting to me, physically.

I cannot get out of bed once I get into it; I find it difficult to turn over to sleep on my right side once I start sleeping on my left side; I find it difficult to stand up once I sit down; and I find it especially painful to stand up and start walking from a sitting or lying position. Round ligament pain, I read. It sucks.

So this Monday hubby and I went to see the ob-gyn for our regular antenatal checkup and the doc (or was it the ultrasound technician?) told us our baby weighs a healthy 1.3 kilograms, and is a good size. Only thing is, he's in a breech position but doc says that'll probably change as I advance in my pregnancy.

I know he's still breech because when I feel strong kicks coming from the little guy, I feel them in the lower part of my tummy. He can't be shaking his head very hard in there, right? So that has got to be his legs.

There's only 2.5 months to my due date and I'm dying to go shopping for baby stuff; dying to do things that I won't be able to after birth and that includes meeting up with you, Jean. Don't hide! I wonder how soon is your "soon", huh.

I really can't wait to see the little guy no matter how much people say that it's easier to take care of a baby inside me than outside me. I just want to see him, hold him and watch him grow; speak his first words, sing his first song, walk his first steps and dance his first dance for me.

The other day as I boarded the company bus at the end of the day, someone asked me how far along I am in my pregnancy and when I replied "7 months" to him, he gave me a shocked look and exclaimed that my tummy's so small!

I think I sort of agree? I have not started wearing my maternity clothes yet because they're still too big and baggy. I'm still wearing pants that I wore since the beginning of my second trimester and they still fit me tremendously well. I wonder where all that weight I put on went to. Hmmm...
