I know, I've announced before that my baby's gonna be a boy, but you guys know what, the second time I had an ultrasound, the technician wasn't sure about baby's gender because baby's legs were crossed and she said "I think it's a girl, because girls are so shy." But during the last scan to determine if baby is still breech or not, I saw his privates, like, up close and personal. LOL. Even saw his lips moving! I'm so excited!
I'm in my 36th week now and it is only one more week to baby being full-term and to expect his arrival anytime. The other day hubby and I went shopping for more baby stuff; things like clothes, sleepwear, waterproof mattress pad, wet wipes, diapers and other essentials. I almost collapsed while carrying the stuff back from the lift lobby to the doorstep cos I was holding on to a 2-litre bottle of milk and a 1-litre carton of fruit juice as well!
Anyway life hasn't been exactly rosy for me. Tomorrow we're heading to HDB to either book a flat or to cancel our application and hunt for a 4-room resale. I seriously look forward to moving out soon, man.
I am getting painful contractions daily, although they're not regular and usually only last for a few minutes but friends who want to get me out should do so really soon!
I am so looking forward to holding my baby in my arms and covering him with hugs and kisses and so is hubby. He was the one who picked out clothes for his firstborn and even picked a pair of pyjamas that says "I love Mummy and Daddy".
I'm feeling quite stressed about childbirth now that the date is arriving really soon, afraid of the pain and everything and I have not even decided if I want anything for pain management! Epidurals sound comfy but I'm so afraid of humongous needles stuck in my back and that I won't be able to push effectively.
I just hope labour doesn't go on for too long. Have heard horror stories of labour going on for more than 20 hours. YUCK! I hate pain! My only comfort is hubby promising to be by my side when baby's coming. I just hope he doesn't faint. LOL.
I think I will have to rename my blog pretty soon because it is going to be crowded with pictures of my new family nucleus this coming January. Babies are so cute! And have I mentioned yet that I will be going home for my confinement? I'm so damned happy! I'll have lots of time to blog so stay tuned for pretty pictures! *Pretty pictures because I know I'm going to have a beautiful son. Ha ha ha!
Was at Orchard yesterday with sis, she was shopping for a blazer and skirt to wear today and she got them for just $72 at X:Square at Paragon. What a bargain! And it fit her really well! Orchard was really crowded man, got me really impatient with the crowd and got my mood down pretty fast.
Headed to Esprit at Meritus Mandarin and got myself their corrective makeup base in yellow to cover my dark circles when I go back to work next year. Don't want to look tired all the time. There's a program on cable tv's channel 54 at 4pm weekdays that teaches makeup tips and tricks to different makeup styles and also techniques on covering flaws or enhancing features. Ladies can go check it out! Yeah, I'm damn free so I'm hooked to the tube for almost all of the hours that I am awake, channel surfing.
Today is Sunday, it is almost 6pm now and hubby is still busy at work. Very disappointed. I am dying to go to the cinema and have popcorn while watching a good movie.
