Dear Roy, happy birthday!
5 yrs and 67 min ago, you arrived in this world... though you caused me much pain (16 hrs and 2 doses of epidural) I have never regretted having you in my life. You multiplied my capacity to love and gave me unconditional love in return.
Though you ask for supper every night and toys which really burn quite a hole in mommy and daddy's pockets, seeing you relish the food and stretching your imagination with the toys makes it all worth it.
My wish for your birthday is that you will grow out of the defiant phase quickly because I will soon have to face it again in another 8 years or so *groan*... Nevertheless, I hope you have enjoyed the first five years of your life, and may you be happy and healthy in the years to come...
