Dar and I went to Marina Square yesterday, with the intention of shopping/window-shopping at MS. Turns out that most of the shops there have closed for renovation, the big makeover by RMM (Retail Mall Management. That's what they did to Century Square to make it a better shopping mall).

That's (a tired) dar at McDonald's... He wore his brother's shoe which is one size too small for him... Silly dar :)

That's us under the blazing evening sun when dar took a smoke. Extremely hot and dry weather yesterday.
So we walked down to the CNY pasar malam thingy and had his fortune told. I think it was all a hoax cos... Its not convincing enough for me lah. Anyway I let this guy guess my surname and predict my future for me according to the size of my palm. I think it was all another hoax cos my future comes printed on a piece of paper that indicates my palm size, all computer printed. HOAX!!!! Don't get cheated!!!! Anyway today is the last day of the whole CNY bazaar thingy lah.
So we proceeded to Esplanade to take some photos..

I blurred the background using Photoshop cos our faces turned out quite blur and I tried to make us appear clearer, relative to the background. Ha ha I liked the effect.

This is the red t-shirt we bought in Malaysia.. Dar has one in the same design. Cool right!! People always stare when I wear this.

The merlion in the background. Dar asked me a silly question regarding the merlion but since I don't have a nice and clear picture of it, I shall not blog about it today.
We then moved to Haru, a Japanese restaurant at One Fullerton for his interview. He wants to work part time there, to earn more money for our love nest.. LOLz.

Al fresco dining available at Haru.
Walked and walked somemore... ...

My favourite series of shots for the day! Cos... TOO SWEET!! Totemo amai shashin.

We walked and walked, and we walked and walked, and still we walked and walked and we ended up outside the Glass House and took this under the LOVE sculpture.
Speaking of the Glass House.. And why we ended up there. Well we actually wanted to take the train to Dhoby Ghaut, switch to the NEL and go to Sengkang to meet his dad for dinner. But at the NEL's Dhoby Ghaut station, we decided that we shall take a cab. But Plaza Singapura's taxi queue was too long, so we decided to walk to opposite the Istana Park. But cabs wouldn't stop there, so we crossed over to Singapore Shopping Centre but there were no cabs. So we walked up to YMCA, used the loo, and walked further up somemore until we reached Bras Basah Road and still, there were no cabs. We walked somemore until we reached NAFA and decided we shall go home ourselves. Which brings me to this point.
WHY CAN'T I GET A CAB WHEN I NEED ONE??? And I thought competition between cabbies are tough. Make that SUPER tough. DAMMIT. I can never get a cab whenever I need one when I'm in town. Wassup with all these cab drivers? I really wish they all get diarrhoea today. Anyway Dar was saying he really wants to get his own car next year. Did I mention his mom wants to sell him her car? He says he will pay using his ass. And I said no one will pay 10K for his ass.
Oh ya.... I'm suddenly reminded that I'm supposed to be writing about obscenity at The Esplanade.
Check this out.............

Don't you think it looks as if the duck is shagging the woman? The way her legs are spread and the position of the duck, with his/her/its
I'm falling in love with Photoshop.
